Truefitt & Hill Weishi Charcoal Safety Razor |
You won't find "safety razors" at your typical supermarket, but they are certainly not new. The first safety razor was invented in the late 18th century by a Frenchman, Jean-Jacques Perret; prior to the invention of the first safety razor most men used a straight razor. While straight razors can still be acquired these days (including at this site!), they are not nearly as popular because they require a lot of skill and practice to master. A safety razor is a razor where the skin is protected from all but the very edge of the blade.
The Weishi Safety Razors are the perfect introduction to wet-shaving. Lightweight and easy to use. Forgiving for mis-steps beginners occasionally make when learning to shave with a safety razor for the first time.
