Michael Dixon Pommelle Bubinga Humidor |
"Pomelle", which comes from the French word for "quilted", is a type of wood figure that resembles a puddle surface during a light rain: a dense pattern of small rings enveloping one another. Some say this has a "suede" or "furry" look. It's usually found in extremely large trees of African species like sapele, makore, and bubinga. While bubinga is considered an exotic wood, pommelle bubinga is considered extremely rare.
Since 1973 Michael Dixon has been successfully combining his talents in design and wood craftsmanship to produce his widely-admired line of solid hardwood cigar humidors. They are built from the finest grade of domestic and imported hardwoods and veneers (see catalog), where all wood joints are lock mitered to withstand high internal moisture content over extended periods of time. |

The modern gentleman notices the little things, and there is plenty to notice about our Signature Gift Wrap. The paper is a custom-printed navy beaded pinstripe pattern evocative of a classic men's suit fabric. The white satin ribbon is tied in a square knot. But we think it's the enclosure card sealed with hot wax that shows we put as much care into the gift presentation as you put into its selection.
