Francis Quimet & Eddie Lowery - 1913 U.S. Open - The Country Club |
Historical photo from the Edmund Bond collection showing young 20 year old Francis Ouimet and his caddie, 10 year Eddie Lowery walking one of the holes during one of golf's greatest upsets in history where Ouimet defeated the reigning top golfer of the day, Harry Vardon, as well as Ted Ray, both English golfers in a playoff for the U.S. Open Cup. Young Ouimet, himself a caddie and amateur grew up right around The Country Club course and knew it well which helped him defeat Vardon and Ray. An Excellent story, told through "The Greatest Game Ever Played" by Mark Frost (see our book section). This photo - if framed will feature Non-Glare Glass.

The modern gentleman notices the little things, and there is plenty to notice about our Signature Gift Wrap. The paper is a custom-printed navy beaded pinstripe pattern evocative of a classic men's suit fabric. The white satin ribbon is tied in a square knot. But we think it's the enclosure card sealed with hot wax that shows we put as much care into the gift presentation as you put into its selection.
