For three years, Browns fans were without their beloved team but when the NFL returned to Cleveland in 1999 a new stadium awaited. Building Cleveland Browns Stadium on the hallowed ground of the old Municipal Stadium honored some of the greatest athletic endeavors of the 20th century. No other site could have been as appropriate as the field where 14 Cleveland Browns, including Jim Brown, Paul Brown, Otto Graham, Leroy Kelly, Ozzie Newsome, and Paul Warfield established their credentials for induction into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in nearby Canton. This beautiful lakefront landmark, as distinctive as the nearby Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, seats over 73,200 (with 10,644 Dawg Pound Seats). Most important though to the City of Cleveland and Browns fans everywhere - 'The Browns are Back.'
