The first double-edged or Safety Razors were manufactured in 1901 by Gillette. The Art of Shaving has continued the tradition of shaving with these types of razors by offering an elegant selection of Safety Razors, all handmade in Solingen, Germany. We use the same high standards of quality and manufacturing as were used in 1901, and the best possible quality steel available today.
Platinum blades, which are available through The Art of Shaving, are highly recommended as they glide better on the skin and last longer. |

Our standard shipping method for grooming products is U.S. Postal Priority Mail. This means:
- Our customers typically receive their orders 2-3 days after the order is placed while still enjoying free shipping on orders of any size
- USPS delivers on Saturdays at no extra cost
- We can deliver to P.O. Boxes
Of course, neither the Post Office or UPS pick-up on Sundays so orders placed on the weekend will typically arrive on Wednesdays.

The modern gentleman notices the little things, and there is plenty to notice about our Signature Gift Wrap. The paper is a custom-printed navy beaded pinstripe pattern evocative of a classic men's suit fabric. The white satin ribbon is tied in a square knot.
