Alister Mackenzie Bronze Sculpture |
Alister Mackenzie was born in 1870 to Scottish parents in Yorkshire, England, and earned a medical degree from Cambridge University, although he eventually abandoned his studied profession for a career in golf course architecture. One of the first golf course architects to advocate strategy over a penal design, his courses are enjoyed by players of all skill levels while still challenging the most experienced golfers. At Cypress Point, overlooking the Pacific, Mackenzie made good work of one of the most enviable sites in the whole world of golf. Bobby Jones was so impressed with this course that he decided to ask Mackenzie to co-design Augusta National.
The first in sculptor Ron Tunison's new architectural legends series. Golf Links to the Past and renowned sculpture Ron Tunison are proud to offer this striking likeness of Alister Mackenzie in a cold-cast edition of 350. Each sculpture is 18" tall and is mounted on a solid walnut base. |

The modern gentleman notices the little things, and there is plenty to notice about our Signature Gift Wrap. The paper is a custom-printed navy beaded pinstripe pattern evocative of a classic men's suit fabric. The white satin ribbon is tied in a square knot. But we think it's the enclosure card sealed with hot wax that shows we put as much care into the gift presentation as you put into its selection.
