Ah, the double monk, a favorite of shoe aficionadoes everywhere. Dressy enough to be worn with shoes, casual enough to pair with denim. It's the Swiss Army Knife of footwear, only far better looking. This version is Goodyear welted, of course, and features gorgeous oak bark leather soles. Offered in antique oak calf and black calf.

All Alfred Sargent shoes are made in Rushden, England. They're finished at the factory with Saphir, the world's best line of shoe care products.

Made-to-Order (Handgrade) Shoes

The shoes offered on our website are from Alfred Sargent's Exclusive line, an edited selection of classic, Goodyear-welted, English dress shoes. We also offer their Handgrade line of made-to-order (MTO) shoes. With the Handgrade MTO service, you choose your last (three choices unique to the Handgrade line), leather (dozens of options), and styling details (everything from the soles to the size of the brogueing). One of the six craftsmen at the Rushden factory who specialize in this work will then build that pair to your exact specifications, and about sixteen weeks later you'll have a one-off design made just for you. All sizes listed are UK. For Alfred Sargent, we suggest you subtract 1 from your US size in order to find your UK size, e.g. a US 10 becomes a UK 9.
