It's What's on the Outside that Counts

Layering is an important component of dressing in the Bay Area. Rain, fog, or sizzling heat can appear without warning, and a well dressed man needs to be prepared accordingly. It's possible to wear a shorter coat over a sport coat these days, but make sure the outer coat is longer than the sport coat. Sorry to be a traditionalist, but I think at least a knee length overcoat is optimal for wear over a suit. Leather outerwear is great but remember to leave it at home when it rains.
