Cooking Tips - Pork
There are some basic cooking tips to help make meat cookery more successful. We share these for you to guide your meal preparation
- Don't overcook your pork. The belief that pork should be cooked until it is gray and
tough is no longer universal. Trichinosis has virtually disappeared from today's pork industry.
Cook pork medium (it should be slightly pink inside).
- Try the overlooked cuts. Pork shoulder, fresh pork legs and spareribs make some of the
most delicious and flavorful pork dishes.
- Brown the outsides of roasts and braising meats. This technique lends a more complex and
caramelized flavor to your dish.
- Let cooked pork rest several minutes before slicing.
- You can store your Niman Ranch pork for up to 3 or 4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze
it for up to 6 months.
