This morning's New York Times featured an article in the Style Section that perfectly illustrates my personal frustration with the "fashion press": the items that supposedly go in and out of style are almost always considered timeless to our core customer. The classic - nay, TIMELESS - White Buck is a perfect example. The "cool kids" may have temporarily discovered white bucks as an alternative to sneakers, but we're talking about a shoe that has been worn for decades by gentlemen with style...and will for decades to come after the current fad fades from memory.

 

So you can imagine the excitement when we added a host of Saddle Shoes, Bucks, and Oxfords to the website -- and the store, of course -- in the last couple weeks. In fact, we now have a whole category devoted to Saddle Shoes, Bucks, and Oxfords. White Bucks, Dirty Bucks, saddle shoes in a variety of colors, and even sporty Spectators. We'll hope to ride any wave of interest in them in the short-run, but rest assured, these same shoes will be available next Spring, the Spring after that, the Spring after that, and so on.
