Tomorrow night (or midnight tonight in some cities), Quantum of Solace, the new Bond film is released in the U.S. (it's been released just about everywhere else in the world already which may or may not be reflective of our diminished standing in the world). For some, tomorrow night will be a must-see movie night in jeans, a T-shirt, a large soda and a box of Bunch-a-Crunch. For me, and 14 of my closest friends, and 5 people I've never met who are friends of theirs, it will mean tuxedos, martinis, steak, and then Bunch-a-Crunch. 

If people can dress up like pirates for opening night of the Pirates of the Carribean, or like Darth Vader for the new Star Wars films, why can't we dress like James Bond one Friday night every two years? If you're in San Francisco, we'll be at Bradley Ogden's Lark Creek Steak for appetizers & cocktails, and then up for the 7:10 showing. Review to follow tomorrow night or over the weekend.
