Examiner.com Calls Us "The Store of the Moment"

Man-about-town and style writer for Examiner.com, Dino-Ray Ramos, swung by our San Francisco store and had some very pleasant things to say. Money quote:

"If Sex and the City’s Mr. Big would shop at a store, this would be it."

7x7 Magazine Pimps the Fly Guy

San Francisco's 7x7 magazine may soon be profiling our new store in print, but in the meantime, they have written up a blurb about us that we couldn't have done better if we'd done it ourselves.

Money quote: "Guys who’ve endured being dragged to the girliest of shops over the holidays will especially appreciate the refreshingly testosterone-friendly atmo: a giant stuffed Grizzly bear hovers inside and custom Harley Davidson bike gleams in the window."

And we learned something new too: to the hip, the Financial District is Fi-Di. Expect us to overuse that phrase often.

UrbanDaddy Covers the Store Opening

UrbanDaddy, a necessary email subscription for any modern gentleman, first featured us nationally back in 2006. The hit featured Ike Behar's custom shirt program called C.E.O. for Custom Express Original.

Fast forward to 2008, and UrbanDaddy featured the opening of On The Fly's flagship store in downtown San Francisco on the day that it opened: Monday, November 17th. Of course, UrbanDaddy came by the Sunday before we opened to see what all the fuss was going to be about.

A Suitable Wardrobe Visits

A Suitable Wardrobe is a must-read blog for the gentleman that takes his wardrobe seriously. Will Boehlke, the man behind the blog, is certainly one of the best-dressed men in San Francisco. What is striking about Will is that he is "dressed" every single day of the week.

A Suitable Wardrobe covers a wide variety of men's fashion-related topics, but it is most useful for the topics that are not typically addressed by many men's magazines. Topics like wardrobe planning, budgeting, maintenance, custom clothing, purchasing of materials for custom clothes, and of course, putting it all together. It is a thorough blog that is sure to teach you something new at least once a week, if not more frequently.

Will stopped by our showroom to take a tour and snap a few photos, visit the car club next door, and enjoy a cigar and a glass of bourbon. Read his full write-up here
